sport injury getting in the way?

i was recently at a cheerleading competition around 2 weeks ago, and as i didnt warm up properly, when i did my splits, i really hurt my right thigh.
i dont know exactly what its called, maybe its my hamstring, but i need to work out what it is and how i could make it better.

the pain has got better and it was stange what i could and couldnt do. i could do a scale with my right leg, but not with my left, and could do heelstretch with my left, but not with my right. if you are not sure what these are in cheerleading, search them on youtube or google images.

i need to be able to do all these stretches as im a flyer and need to get back into the intese training for the next competition, and its just getting in the way. its like all my flexabiltiys gone ive worked up over the past years and i am just an average non-flexable person.

can someone tell me whats up and how i can treat it, thanks xx
