What exactly do you mean by "non-operational"? Are you referring to a specific "grade" of spondylolisthesis? From what I've read here on this and other forums...just about any grade of spondylolisthesis could be considered a candidate for surgery. There are quite a few people on this forum who are grade 1, and have had fusion surgery. I'm a grade 2, and have not had surgery. The higher the grade (1-5), the more severe the slippage is and the higher probability of needing surgery to fix it.

the reason i say non operational spondolithesis is because i have an arterie wrapped around that part of my vertebre so unfortuately no treatment can be given i have had lots of medical forms asking if i have a disability and have never known how to answer that question im in a lot of pain and discomfort with it and want to know if its registered as a disability.

is that artery actually an arteriovenous malformation(AVM)?there are certain procedures that can be done on the actual artery itself that would probably lessen your pain and take away any possible risk of rupture there too.there are many different types of arterial malformations out there that good neurovascular interventional radiologist can actually fix for you(these particular types of specialists really can do some pretty amazing things all done thru the actual arteries in a radiology suite).have you consulted a neurosurgeon who is really familiar with vascular malformations,or been seen by the type of radiologist i just mentioned for at least an eval and consult of your situation?was this found upon doing an MRI?ifso,do you have an actual copy of that MRI in your posession?if you could post exactly what the summary states about that artery area it would be really helpful.
this in and of itself, the inoperable spondy, wouldn't really be considered an actual "disability" but a condition you have.like a chronic pain type of condition caused by the arterial malformation.marcia
