I have 2 legitimate Bell receivers running off 1 LNB (91W). I also have a ViewSat that I want to run off of 91W from the same dish. Can I safely split one of the LNB lines into two? Thanks

Talking of Piracy, ie hooking up an FTA receiver to a Dish pointing at Express Vu is not done on this forum.

But the answer to your question is NO.

It can't be done safely

a viewsat in factory default mode is not illegal...

neither is picking up the unencrypted channels

its only grey area if he hacks his receiver to get channels he doesnt pay for...

and i believe its still legal under current testing laws as long as he has a valid subscription..but anyways..what you're looking for if you wanted to do 3 bell receivers is a multiswitch , plug both lnb ports into it and it provides 3-4 outputs

C'mon dude, I am all for FTA
But, if you think, someone would pay $200 for a Viewsat, to receive unecrypted channels, then maybe you want to buy my share of the CN Tower (I own 51% of it)
It would be far cheaper for him to buy a LEGIT 4100 from a Bell World, and he would get all of his subscribed programming on it as well, instead of the few he would get with a Viewsat with legit software on it
If he bought a Viewsat, and did NOT have subscribed receivers in his house, your theory MAY be true, but I think most would agree, he would be using it to pirate

im not saying he isnt going to do that but hes pretty much in the grey area or clear in terms of having a subscription...needless to say he should have just said..id like to add a third receiver and left out what type it was :P

the type of receiver is a moot point on how it picks up the signal though, its the multiswitch is what he needs
