split phone bill (verizon)?

Me and my girlfriend lived togetherand then we broke up. We have 2 phones on the same plan with verizon. Is there any way to split these and make it two individusl plans so we dont have to worry about one not paying there side. Especially since she moved to her dads which is an hour away
