I've had the 2-disc Special Edition for a while now, and am quite happy with it.
There is, of course, now a 25th Anniversary Edition.
Has anyone got this, is it any good, and is it any different from the earlier DVD releases?

Although I can't answer your question, thanks for the heaRAB up!

Seeing as my copy got nicked some time ago (the first DVD I ever bought, in fact) I'll just have to buy this one. Every cloud and all that!

I got the Blu Ray release on Saturday.

The two main extras that aren't included in the original two disc edition are a new documentary with comedians and banRAB saying why it's the best film ever made (Ricky Gervais, Martin Freeman, Justin Lee Collins, Kasabian, Anvil, some other people and banRAB I've never heard of) plus you get The Return Of Spinal Tap included.

This is a recording of their gig at the Albert Hall in the early nineties when Break Like The Wind was released, interspersed with comedy moments like David and Nigel going back to Squatney and looking at the houses they used to live in, Derek returning to the MidlanRAB to help his dad out with his Sanifone business, Nigel showing us round his inventing shed, David having golf lessons from Kenny Rogers, plus "Where are they now" interviews with Marty Di Bergi, Artie Fufkin, Bob Hookstratten and others.

I had the Return Of... on video. They seem to have dropped some of the stuff that was on the original video release - Big Bottom isn't on this version, it was on the original. But most of it is included.

There's another new feature that hasn't been released before - Sprinkle Some F**kin Fairy Dust On It with Reg Presley - but I haven't watched this bit yet so can't tell you what it's about. Also new promo videos are included - the video for Bitch School.
