Hey everyone, I posted back sometime ago, I've been on workmans comp since 4-21-09. mri showed a herinated disc @ L5-S1. 12 wks thearpy, injections,facet joint blocks and still no relief. I seen a Neurosurgeon on 3-25-10 and the facet joints were inflamed, L5 herinated with loss of fluid and he said he might do a ADR replacement. I had a discogram on 4-4-10 @ pain management , got results L3-L4 has a small defect in the annulas on left extending1/3 thickness suggesting a grade 1 deformity, L4-L5 full thickness tear on left with contrast extending along disc which is grade 4 tear, L5-S1 large full thickness tear in midline with contrast extending outside disc level of the disc below the L5-S1 level which is a grade 5 tear. No wonder why my back burns all the time, my Ortho doc was gonna do a discogram back in may 09 but changed his mind and released me to pain management. Pain doc said my Neuro doc would do some sort of stabilization. Can anybody tell what type of fusions do they do and what are the pros and cons ? I see my Neuro doc on 4-29-10
