Spinal Cord Implant - Pain Afterwards

I was very happy to come across these posts about the spinal stimulator. My pm doctor reccomenRAB this for me but I am truly terrified about this. My fusion surgery was 12/07 and did not have a good outcome so I am naturally afraid of more surgery.
If it could help me even 50% (in fact the doctor said that is what they look for) I would be willing to do it. I think. lol
They told me I need a physc clearance for this first, that its standard. Once I get that I will have the trial put in, if it helps then the perm one will be put in on an outpatient basis. I was under the impression there was not alot of post op pain, is that true?
 
I am being scheduled for the physc clearance for the stimulator in a few days. I have been emailing a rep at the St Jude hospital. She has on implanted and has about 50% pain relief but still has bad days where she has about 25% pain relief. I am going to try it. Good luck.
