I'm almost 4 weeks post op from a 2 level fusion L4-S1 and as I was lying on my bed resting a huge SPIDER  got caught crawling on my arm. I had to scream but the bad part is that i twisted my back and jolted my self up and out of bed while swinging my arms and wiping em down. this all happend within a second too.
I have no pain from the twist but it felt horribly weird. I hope this dosnt interfear with the healing process. BTW.... i dont wear a brace (dr didnt recomend it  .).

what will happen next to interfear with my recovery??

bye,
C.H.

Cancerhead-
I had a ALIF of L5-S1 just over a year and a half ago, and have a completely healed and fused surgical site. (No problems whatsoever) If I had found a spider crawling ON ME, I can pretty much guarantee that I would have fractured the fusion site as I hit the ceiling. AAAAAAHHHHHHHHGGGGGG!!!! I cannot stand spiders......too many legs.....
You are pretty brave, getting through that with just a twist of the back.

Cancerhead , you'll be ok , the big question is
DID YOU KILL THAT SPIDER ? Man thats the only thing I fear most , snakes or bugs don't bother me but spiders Ewwww!!! Their even worse than needles.

I like spiders as they kill other bugs :)

however I dont like any bug small enough to accidentally inhale :nono: I live in the wooRAB and have done that. bleh!

Zero , I live in the wooRAB to , many Nats going in my eye's and in my mouth and spiders like you have never seen before ,big black hairy ones  .
I grew up in a small town and bought a house way out here where everyone is known as Hicks...I love it though and wouldn't change a thing.

Hi Cancerhead,
Yikes! I hate spiders and would have done the same thing as you. How's your back today? Did you call you doctor? When I had surgery to remove a bone tumor in my leg in March, I fell 9 days after the surgery and used my leg to try to break the fall (then twisted and hurt my back). I was so worried I had done damage but the xray showed no damage to my leg. I know what that worry is like. Also, I noticed we live in the same town! I hope your healing goes well! tlc6

lol..... I found it crawling on the bed. Then I smashed it real good in between toilet paper :D

My back was fine after all...
I was just scared to find out what next that could happen... hah,
the only thing that happened after that was a sneeze and a cough that caused some what of pain during the action.

anyhow, I hope your leg and back is well by now.
