There are quite a few easter eggs tucked away on this disc - all the ones from the Region 1 (R1) version have been included and they can be found in the same way. The packaging claims that the first disc only has one easter egg, but there are actually two. Insert the first disc of the set and from the Main Menu select Special Features. From here, select Character Files - you should be shown a list of biographies for the principal actors. Select any of these principal cast members, e.g. Tobey Maguire, and navigate to the second page of the biography - pressing Up on your remote control, followed by Enter, will place a folder on your screen with more information about the cast member's on-screen character, complete with comic book illustrations.
For the second egg on this first disc, go back to the Special Features menu and select Commentaries. Highlight the Special Features menu entry at the bottom of the screen and press Left on your remote control, followed by Enter. This will launch a funny two and a half minute montage of CGI bloopers - watch out for the previously unseen confrontation where Spider-Man and the Green Goblin come face to face...... to do some synchronised stretching.
On the second disc of the set, select The Web of Spider-Man menu entry from the Main Menu. From there, select DVD-ROM and keep pressing Up on your remote control until Spidey's mask is highlighted. Pressing Enter on your remote control will launch a short easter egg called 'A New Twist On The Webs', where Todd McFarlane talks about how he revised the method of drawing our hero's web. This little featurette runs for a couple of minutes.
For the next egg, go back to the Main Menu and select The Evolution Of Spider-Man. From this page, highlight the Artist Gallery menu entry and press the Right on your remote control. This will reveal 'The Romitas' on the top-right of the screen and pressing Enter will launch a 3 minute look comic book artists John Romita and his son John Romita Jr., who have both worked on the Spider-Man comic books and are renowned in their field of expertise. If you instead actually enter the Artist Gallery section and then select Comic Book Artist Gallery, there is another hidden feature to uncover. Select any one of the stills, so that it is shown full-screen and then navigate through the photos. The creator's name is always show as well. When you see Terry DoRABon's name, highlight the middle camera that is used for navigating and press Up on your remote control. This will reveal DoRABon's signature on his drawing. Press Enter on your remote control to see an exclusive hidden gallery of further comic book art.
To unlock yet another hidden extra on this disc, go back on the Main Menu, select Rogues Gallery and on that screen press Up on your remote until you highlight Spider-Man at the top of the screen. Pressing Enter on your remote at this point, will give access to information and rotating 3D renders on six villains. Still in the Rogues Gallery', when you take a look at the normal pages for the following villains - Elektro, Venom or Scorpion - highlight the Spider-Man icon at the bottom of the screen and then press Down on your remote control to highlight a hidden silhouette of Spider-Man. Press Enter to see large, full-screen 3D rotating renders of that character.
