Saw this last night and it's easily 10x better than the first one. The villan i thought was great and the special effects aswell as the story, everything was just great! I will definitly be seeing this at the cinema a couple of times.

Bring on Spidey 3!!
 
Good to hear as I thought the first one was a terrific ride - easily the best Superhero film (and far better than the X-men movies). Personally I'm a big fan of both Tobey Maguire and Kursten Dunst - two of the best young actors in Hollywood today.

My only criticism of Spiderman 1 would be the villain who looked like a reject from Power Rangers. Doc Ock seems like a vast improvement.
 
can i ask, was spiderman 1 a flop or a hit?...and well we got a thumbs up from the thread starter but does anyone think that spiderman 2 be a flop? lol
 
I really enjoyed the first Spiderman film, but Id rate the XMen films above it. Spiderman 2 will have to be very good for me to rate it the best of all! Cant wait to see it though.

Its good to see these superhero films again on the big screen. ReminRAB me of the good old days as a kid watching the Superman films.
 
Saw this on Friday and was massively disappointed after all the hype.

Simplistic and extremely cliched plot (Superman II anyone?), poor special effects (CGI overload) do not a good movie make. I cannot understand what all the fuss is about.
 
Spiderman 2 was good. DId you guys know that sony have given the go ahead so far upto Spiderman 6? Looks like we have many more to look 4ward to, personally i think more than 5 would be silly
 
I thought it was really good, the storyline really all pulled it together, I would have liked to seen a bit more action, but it was all still very good! A film that is a must see on the big screen, so you get the full effect of it all! Is anyone else confused why this film is a PG yet to me seemed more scary, and the first one orginally came out as a 12?
 
I saw spider-man 2 yesterday. And I thoroughly enjoyed it as a film. But as far as plot progression went I hated it.

I don't want to spoil it for anyone, so i won't go into detail, but some of the latter plot twist seemed bad choices and not in line with the comic books.

When a spider-man 2 thread starts with spoilers I will go into more detail but I really do not understand how spider-man 3 will turn out, which I guess was kind of the point, however I will just have to wait to see spider-man 3 before I can really make up my mind as far as the plot went.

A really good film, if you are not too interested in plot progression.
 
Saw it last night and i was very impressed. It really was a million times better than the 1st one and the injection of humour especially from the Daily Bugle cheif was a great move! Made me laugh out loud a few times.

It's miles better than the first one, but it wasn't hard as the first one was a turkey. The second one is bearable, but it's definately one for the kiRAB.

Compared to X-men, it's no contest as the x-men films are actually good.
 
i think anything over 3 will be bad, they can end it with the next film and solidify the franchises status in film history! over wise it will get watered down, different actors will be used, different director an every1 will start complaining and dissing the whole series!:P thats imo tho
