for the record......I dont believe the pegs are anodised........I work in the window industry and I can tell you now that anodising does not scratch off with fingernails...........Anodising is very hardy to scratches and or marks..... thats why we use it on window extrusions

Exactly my situation. These would be quite reasonable $300 rearsets made for race use and in test spec. They are no where near acceptable to me as a "finished" customer ready product in their current state. Once they work out their problems, it looks like they might have a very good product, up to the standards of my other Speedymoto parts.

Got mine today also... The rods look fine, but the phantom spring installer has also gashed mine a bit also. Must be what ever tool they use to install that sprint takes a bit out of the black paint.

I'm going to install them and touch it up a little and see if I really notice it onces it's installed, the sets as a whole do look real quality.

The proof in the short term can only be in some good riding, I'm sure they stand up to the test just by having a quick gander at them.

You know I don't know why everyone is bent about the pegs being slightly scratched, I mean I understand for the money the shouldn't be, but that is small potatoes compared to the issues I had. Mine would not even function when mounted. No matter what position I had them they scraped the belly pan and also the levers would hit the linkages. That is the reason I am sending mine back. Had they fit correctly, I would have kept them.

I definitely had to play the spacer game to get mine to fit without rubbing the plastics. I also had to flip the brake linkage to the outside of the brake lever to get it to fit without seriously rubbing the body work. I managed to get things to where only the shifter linkage rubs ever so slightly. I would have thought a rear set designed for a specific bike, would not have fit issues.

I also find the lever arms to be way too thin, if I start getting a little aggressive on the shifting, I can feel the lever twisting a little. I looked down at one point and saw it deflecting. This issue might be aggravated by the fact the linkages are not 100% in line with the lever (because of the body clearance arrangement), or it could be due to the fact I couldn't get the peg screw on that side to the specified torque (26ft-lb), I haven't taken the peg off yet, but it feels like the rear nut is stripping its seat.

I wanted to put up a full post of the pros and cons I have seen so far, but I leave for vacation tomorrow. I really love the design of the Speedymoto set, they look awesome on the bike, and the shifting is so smooth I some times don't even feel the shift, but I'm surprised by some of the glaring cons. The Speedymoto top triple is/was my next purchase for the bike, I hope that works out better.
