speedometer on my 1990 ford corsair has stopped!?

okay it used to not work for the first minute or 2 but after that it would work fine. Now it doesn't work at all. I really need some help guys
I dont think this has anything to do with it but i just replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter last week.
 
I would check the gear in the tranny. then I would check the wring on the tranny and behind the dash, then I would go for the gear in the tranny.
