Speedometer jumping?

Has anyone had a problem with their speedometer jumping around? I just bought this damn C50 and already having problems, anyone know the fix?

Apparently when I took my bike in for service a few weeks ago they put the speedometer sensor wire too close to the brake rotor and it ate through the wire coverting and was starting to cut through the wire itself. The speedometer for the 2006 is a electronic sending unit, go figure.

Then I'd guess it's jumping to ground. Did you fix the insulation on the wire?

I didn't cover it back up because I can't get to it, but I did pull the wire away from the rotor, the dealer said they are going to replace the sensor and the wire monday, they had to order the part.
