Spectrum Sucked Today

first off
with the economy in the shitter like it is. Spectrum is likely to benifit from a lil "ass kissin" if it means that even one in 10 people who show up for a "test ride" of the streetfighter are actually considering purchasing said motorcylcle (this excludes those looking for free shits/bbq/and or stickers)

2nd of all if you folks have never experienced a mishap or delay on a ride, then you have not experienced riding... (which would not suprise me in the least since this is a Ducati forum which means 9 outta 10 of you Ugly duckling riders have a dedicated spot in the garage where there 18,000 dollar trophy piece sits polished for the "Jones'es" to see)

3rd having ridden this bike myself i can promise you who were waiting ... the Burgers were a lil over-done and far more exciting than the Streetfighter's choppy performance. the concrete and asphalt seats far more comfortable than the 2x4 like plank seat (i still have splinters luckily the doc says with medication the swelling should subside in a few more days) and the price tag somewhere between 15 to 19 grand.. while you wont have the "braggin rights" that Duck enthusiasts are after, i think a used sv1000 would likely set you back about 6 or 7 grand and you'd have some money left over to start your own magazine, and if your lucky some "Skinny shit" Forum warrior will bash you and yours.

* I apologize for my piss poor grammer and even worse punctuation, as forum wars/flame threads are simply a hobby of mine. and i failed English in high school.

what is "it" that i dont get please feel free to explain.
and just so its clear i dont write magazines but im not an "engineer" by far.
as far as "flaming" is that not exactly what this thread is about some disgruntaled cry baby whining because he didn't get his turn on the pony? and not even a free lolly pop for compensation?

ok for the last time Im NOT Cal Morlon nor do i write for riders review or any other magazine check the profile lol. i was not present at THIS test ride but i have test ridden the bike. believe it or not they did make more then one of these bikes(though im not sure why) and ducati did make test rides available in multiple locations for more than a handful of people. I am contantly exposed to endless bitfching and whining in my profession since i have experience with both topics being disscussed here i threw im my two cents dont like it? dont read it
 
Actualy, as it turns out. Who you are or are not, one fact remains the same...

A couple of things:

1) With the economy what is it, Spectrum really can't afford negative publicity. With what the L.A. market is, there are a lot of choices to go to for Ducati sales and service: Pro Italia, Brea Ducati, Newport Beach Ducati, Berts (cough), Del Amo, Beverly Hills, etc. Better to be ass kissing potential customers and a third or fourth tier motorcycle magazine that few people heard of -much less read.

2) Delays on demo rides isn't the issue. It's the Spectrum allowing a magazine rider a test ride on a demo day.

However, it's possible that Spectrum didn't know he was going to test ride for his magazine. If that's the case, it was probably the only way he could secure a test ride. Spectrum probably would have said, what magazine are you with again?
 
Just be patient at dealership, and untilize the wait time to make freind with them. I found that is the best way to kill time and make yourself at home.

None of the dealership here in CA is trying to fark with ya, but no one needs to take shit from anyone if you showing "fark up face like I am the CUSTOMER you need to treat me like king" infront of them especially in this economic when people are making no money.....

We all like to talk to nice people, and no one will give shit to nice people. remember.... (mirror image)
