I recently caught this little guy (let him go, didn't weigh him, about a foot long) off the coast of Vancouver Island in British Columbia (Pacific Northwest). Any idea what species of fish he is?
Sorry for the shotty photo.

EDIT: I should mention that he was not vertically fat, like a flounder. fficial%26sa%3DG (but obviously not an Atlantic Salmon, just a shape comparison)
Also, it was off of rocks on the beach near a kelp bed.
