Teachers- What does this sound like to you?
Does it sound like I have dyslexia, ADD/ADHD...or any other learning disability?
* I take forever reading one page from a book, like a minute and a half on a page.
* I don't understand what I read when I read most things
* I can't answer questions based on what I read
* I have a TON of trouble understanding a question. Like I have to read it over a hundred times to understand what is being asked, and a lot of times Id just give up.
* I have a terrible vocabulary, so I don't really understand what my teachers are saying
* When I understand something being taught, and I was asked to summarize what they had just said, I would have trouble doing so.
* And then I would forget it by the next day
* I take additional time on most of my tests (The teachers that allow me to do so)
* The test in which Im not, i do poorly because id have blanks flooding the tests
* I skip over homework in which I know is going to be "hard" even if I never even looked it over
* When homework gets to be tough, most times I quit
* the other times I would force myself to not leave my seat until I complete that certan problem, and I'm usually crying at that point out of frusturation
* I usually tend to avoid doing certain homweork, like math and chemistry
* In my social studies class I'll always have to be holding something, or playing with something in my hands. Likes my hands always have to be touching something.
