My nephew 10 years old, adopted, and was a drug enhanced baby at birth {crack}. He is now in the 5th grade. He has never had a full psych work up and is medicated by a pediatrician. {I have a huge problem with that alone} He is being medicated for AD-HD and OOC {?}. Again, no one has ever diagnosed him without meds.
The school says they do not have the resources to handel him. He triggers when teased, and his teacher seems to know all the right buttons. Please explain to me what are his rights as far as a public eduction? He does his work and gets good grades. Please Help, I have been asked to attend The IEP meeting on Tuesday.
He interacts with his peers after school well, just has a problem with the ones he is in class with at school! We are in California.... {I know hahaha}
