Speakers on Windows Xp Media Center Edition won't work after reformatting?

I have a 2005 Windows Xp Media Center Edition. I recently reformatted the drive (after some blue screen issues) and did updates. My speakers still will not work. I have the appropriate sound cards, because the speakers worked before i reformatted. Do i need to install any drivers (from a disk or from the internet)? please help.
 
Yes you need to install sound card drivers for your system see manufacturers site for support links to download them.
