Speakerphone vs bluetooth headset

I want to compare the use of speakerphone versus bluetooth headset. Often I talk on my cellphone by speakerphone or by bluetooth headset. How do these two modes compare?

1) Which uses less battery life?

2) Which imparts less radiation on the caller?

3) Which handles better the background noise of the caller?

4) Which handles better the background noise of the callee?

5) Which produces better voice quality for the caller?

6) Which produces better voice quality for the callee?

Well loud speaker will be less radiation than bluetooth. But bluetooth is much lower radiation compared to the phone up to your ear.

The call quality is better on bluetooth vs loud speaker. But of course each phone will be different with mic quality, and each bluetooth headset has different quality.

Loud speaker is better for battery life than bluetooth because you are using an extra radio to transmit bluetooth.

1) Speaker phone. DEFINITELY.
2) Speaker phone.
3, 4, 5, 6) depends on the equipment. Not all speaker phones are created equal, nor are all BT headsets. Some are better than others.

I personally don't like having a headset in my ear. The ones I've used fit down inside my ear, and leave me completly deaf in one ear when I've got it in. I really, really don't like the decreased sense of hearing when it's in.

Plus with speaker phone, you only have one battery to worry about. And just one device that "could" get lost/stolen.

Thats why i love using my nokia stereo bluetooth headset, both my phone and headset use the same single charger. Very simple. And the nokia bh-501 has an enormous battery so it has 11 hours of talk time and 2 weeks of standby time. So i use the headset for 1 week straight on one charge before it needs to be charged. So 1 sunday night charge is nothing to worry about at all.
