I've been having problems with rough idling the last couple years. I tried fuel injector cleaners but that didn't seem to help much. My mom figured I need new spark plugs. I don't know if they had ever been changed since I got the car (I bought it new). I tried using one of those parts selector computers at Walmart but I didn't know the answer to one of the questions it asked. I need to know what spark plugs I need and if there's more than one brand I can choose form, what brand is the best.

Go to an auto parts store and ask the counter person. It's their job to help you with what you need. They can make suggestions as to what's wrong with your car, and what parts you need. There is data in their computer about maintenance schedules for your car.

Don't go to Walmart for parts. Lately, my local Walmart is more expensive on things like spark plugs, oil and filters, etc. than the auto parts stores.

If you know how (its not that hard) just take one out and go to your local auto store and tell them you need these and tell them how many cylinders
your car has and they will cross reference them and get you what you need, I would recommend Autolite spark plugs they're not expensive and they're a good brand

I wouldn't put Champions in a wheelbarrow

but DO NOT get the spark wires crossed it wont run because each cylinder fires at a certain point and time but not the same as the other ones when you take the wires off just mark them with some masking tape with a number corresponding with the cylynder it went to for example if its a 4 cylinder
engine just start at the front drivers side of the motor that would be 1 and the next one back would be 2 then got to the other side of the motor the front would be 3 and the back one would be 4 then just remember which one was which it makes a lot easier

Your manual on your car should tell you which plugs to use--depending on the engine size. I personally like A/C brand plugs and believe Champions belong in lawnmowers etc. Also new plugs are usually gapped correct but I would check them anyway. You may also want to change your plug wires, fuel filter, air filter etc.
