I saw the last several minutes of a cartoon that appeared to be from the Soviet period on TV in Ukraine a couple of years ago. I never saw the name of it and I've never been able to find any more information about it. Here's a summary:
There was a young (Russian) child on the African savanna, watching the gazelles and other animals running around and stuff. He then began to run around as well, losing himself in the moment, I guess. Then he noticed everything was suddenly dead silent. He peered through some tall grass and saw a lion laying down underneath a tree, then looked to his side and saw a hunter aiming a gun at the lion. The hunter made a gesture to the boy to stay quiet. The boy then took out a pop-gun and shot the hunter with one of those suction cup-tipped darts, sending the hunter's bullet into the treetops. The lion then turned to look at the boy as if to thank him, then walked away.
Then a voice said "???????! ???????!" and an old guy appeared. He said "???????! ??????? ???????????!"* The old man then walked away, revealing a picture of the hunter standing over the carcass of a dead lion--the kid had been daydreaming while looking at pictures in a store the whole time.
