Why do Southern Italians have olive skin and Northern Italians have white skin? Some Southern Italians with olive or dark skin don't look to different from light skin Indians and light skinned Arabs. In a film that stared Christian Slater called "True Romace", there was a scene that starred Dennis Hopper and Christopher Walken.
In that scene, Dennis Hopper's character tells Christopher Walken's character that Arabs invaded Sicily and raped the women there and that's why Southern Italians are now olive skinned. I used to think that that was true, untill I read on a web-site that Arabs didn't invade Southern Italy and that what was said in that scene isn't true.
So, if that isn't true, what is?
