South Park Season 5-13 HD on US iTunes?

In the U.S iTunes store there are HD versions of South Park from seasons 5 to 13. There are also Standard Copies, for 1 dollar less per episode. In the U.K there is only what appears to be Standard Edition, at a similar price to the U.S equivalent. However when previewing all the different copies, all appear to be identical in quality.
My questions are:
Are they exactly the same? (all 3 versions?)
If they are, why is the U.S listed as HD? Why isn't there a HD copy in the UK?
