SYNOPSIS: "Jimmy hosts the Special Ed Departments First Annual Comedy Awards at South Park Elementary in an all-new episode of "South Park" titled, "Funnybot, premiering on Wednesday, May 4 at 10:00 p.m. on Comedy Central.

At the schools first annual Comedy Awards, Jimmy announces that the Germans are the least funny people in the world. Germany is highly insulted. They vow that retaliation toward the kids at South Park Elementary will be swift and brutal."

NOTE ONE: Expect at least a jab or two at the recent Comedy Central Comedy awards Matt Stone and Trey Parker won best animated series at.

NOTE TWO: It's Possible They may refrence you know who's recent passing in this episode so possibly be on the look out for that too.

Well that's it. Enjoy the episode everyone!

I don't watch the show anymore but I wonder if they'll reference bin Laden's death. I know it's cutting it close but they were able to reference the Saddam capture back in 2003 when it happened only three days before the episode aired.

Of course, part of that was due to the Wizard of Oz parody that was planned for that episode, which enabled Trey and Matt to sneak that reference in by having Saddam be the "new prime mininster of Canada".

Well tonight, during the 9:00 PM EDT hour, Comedy Central has replayed south park episodes that featured OBL (Osama Bin Laden has Farty Pants, It's A Jersey Thing)

I can't believe the Japanese was nominated for least funniest people. Has they ever read manga or watch animes. Read or watch Shin Chan or Kon! and tell me the Japanese aren't funny.

You know I have to wonder just how Matt and Trey really feel about the Comedy Central Comedy awards. Sometimes you can tell their direct feelings about something in the show but other times, you can't. Espiecally after having listened to the recent commentary on season 14 and how some of their actual reactions to what their spoofing differs from... what they're spoofing. Since from here it seems like they're just saying that Comedy Awards are essitanlly pointless. Since after all to take and award something comedic makes it more serious then it was intended and no one really shows up to them and it's just an annoying affair. I did see a quote from Entertainment Weekly about Matt and Trey's feelings on getting a comedy award so knew they weren't a fan but this episode makes it seem like they really just downright hated the expierence so I wonder how true that is.

Overall though this was like last week a pretty good but not outstanding episode. I think that SP still relies on it's runners way too much but there were some decent ones here: Jimmy trying to say the comedy awards were a success, Funnybot trying to make things awkard, and yeah the whole Tyler Perry goof. Boondocks did a way better job insulting the guy by actually being thorugh, but I did like him annoying everyone but Token who was embarassed to have to send him money. Yeah kind of an offensive stereotype but if you saw the people who went to Tyler Perry movies... you could kind of see why they made the joke. (And hey I'm from Long Island and I can understand the hair joke they made about it but was still also fairly stereotypical). I also liked the good fakeout at the end by putting Perry in that container and making him be buried deep within the earth with Funnybot still being around. Other good parts included no one really showing up for the awards, Cartman talking to the Germans and trying to get them to get rid of Kyle, The Funnybot (who actually was a good Doctor Who Dalek joek. Took me awhile to get it since I'm not a Who fan but his voice and design eventually made me see the resembelnce) being in a parody of The Nutty Professor and Hangover 3, Jay Leno threathening to shoot Kenny, and Jimmy saving the day. And yeah though he did bring about near apoalcypse this was a good Jimmy epsiode since he would be the boy to care the most about comedy, and yet also not get the idea of why you shouldn't do a comedy award. And thinking about it, the second episode of season 5 was Jimmy's first appearence so hey, ten year Jimmy anniversary on a... fairly decent ep though I still wish they tried to have more jokes without as many repeat runners.

I only saw a drawing of Bin Laden on the wall of Funnybot's dressing room.
Expected a bigger reference, but no!

Liked the Madea and Pillsbury jokes. And Token laughing.
