South/Central American Ancient Civilizations?

So, broad topic, but when, roughly, was the last activity of an ancient South/Central American civilization (Aztecs, Mayans, Incas, etc.)?

I'm doing this for my Anthropology class so if anybody can help I'd REALLY appreciate it. Thank you!
