Sounds silly, but what career is closest to a 'James Bond' lifestyle?

Without being in the CIA. Perhaps a freelance position. I'd get training from ex military instructors. I would imagine a Private investigator is close, but im looking for more of a dangerous side. I dont mind it being illegal. Also a hitman seems to fall along these guidelines. But might be a little too grimey. Maybe like a 'fixer' of some kind? high up corporate guys/politicians need shady favors too. Also I plan on getting my masters in some degree, & which degree would be most ideal for the job.
Basically, I want to charge good amounts of money to solve your problem, whatever it may be.
Please don't flame, just wondering of possible careers related to this.
 
Just make a lot of money so yo can afford the best money can buy. Its not glamorous being a spy - find another job that pays well so you can afford the fast car and fast women I guess.
 
Army, police first
Then depending on what country your in you can go into secret service [or as you suggested become a thug :(.

But really to become really good you want the above combo with secret service or at least undercover military [SEALS].

A lot of physical and mental hard work.

Its ALL dirty work.
