i know i probably should have asked this before i bought the system, but oh well. anywhoo, as i said i bought a simple system for my car, 1983 toyota camry, i know its old but it gets the job done, cd tuner, speakers sub and amp, just the usual. but just after 2 days my battery went dead. i recharged it and it only lasted a day, this is without the car running. ill just leave it and come back to have the battery dead. i have currently un hooked the amp from the battery so it wont keep dying. and the battery has done just fine.
the car came with a fairly small battery and i think thats the problem, but im not absolutely sure. so im wandering will getting a new battery help, and if it will, would i have to get a new alternator?

oh i forgot to add, i live in australia, not sure if it makes a difference but just telling you incase oh and if anyone knows any sites that can help me on this or with my car in general it will be appreciated
