Sound stops working when playing media off the internet?

Ive had a problem where the sound stopped working on my laptop for a while now and seemed to have fixed it, but now i think i have found what causes it.
Everytime i play songs or watch videos on the internet the soundcard seems to cut out completely after about 10 mins or so. Its extrememly annoying seen as i cant play anything with sound afterwards until i restart my laptop. It dosent happen with games or things on my laptop, just playing media off the internet.

Any ideas as to what could be happening?
Its also happening with any other devices that play sounds too. 10 mins of playing them and the sounds cuts off completely until i restart the laptop
 
Well, if the sound can play, its not the codecs, which was going to be my first choice. You might need a new sound card ot speakers. See if you are still under warranty and get it repaired at a place that repairs computers.
