Plot Summary: Set in the Shinigami technical school for weapon meisters, the series revolves around 3 groups of each a weapon meister and a human weapon. Trying to make the latter a "Death Scythe" and thus fit for use by the Shinigami, they must collect the souls of 99 evil humans and 1 witch.
Soul Eater is an anime that centers around meisters and their weapons and their mission to collect 99 evil souls and 1 witch soul. Upon doing that the meister's weapons will become a Deathscythe, which is the highest title for a weapon. Maka, Soul Eater, Black Star, Tsubaki, Death the Kid, and Patty and Liz Thompson are the characters Soul Eater revolves around. Besides taking the time to gather souls these students of Shibusen defend Death City from some of the most powerful of creatures while still attending school and trying to become stronger.

Yeah just keep in mind if you're anime only, this series went the same way Full Metal Alchemist did with the anime first time around. The storyline in the manga is way better imo, although it's still on-going.
 
Not really, no.

The last three episodes have mostly been about Mary, Chrona and Maka fighting Medusa and Blackstar fighting Mifune with enough content in between to keep things at a decent pace. If anyone thinks that's filler then I suggest they go watch Naruto or Bleach and find out what filler really is.
 
Hmm if that's the case then I'll expect to be a tad dissapointed. Although fma's getting a second season so soul eater get one aswel... not that, that's something I'd look forward to. In a different sense.
 
Yeah it'd definitely be cool if they did another series of Soul Eater like they're doing with FMA currently, once Soul Eater enRAB but given it's kind of got a shounen vibe to it, I'm not sure how long the series is honestly going to take to finish.
 
I really enjoyed this show up until the most recent episodes (specifically where the Kishin demon god whatever dude ****s Shinigami's **** up). After that the ending became incredibly predictable.

Well I mean, there's still an episode left so there's still a bit of room left for surprises, but if Maka enRAB up killing AshurakishindemonRABvaRABv with the power of frienRABhip like I think she will and all the good guys come back to life and live happily ever after I am going to be pissed.
 
Episode 50 was pretty sweet to see Kid's ultimate shot, i always wondered why Kid had those three stripes on his head even though he was obsessed with symmetry. I wonder if the Shinigami is really [blackout]dead...can a god of death actually die??[/blackout] Will Kid take over? Couldn't they use the weapon again? It's pretty obvious that Maka will use the Anti-Demon Wavelength attack to take Asura out...other than [blackout]Shinigami, no one else has actually died though right?[/blackout]
 
Did you ever expect anything else from a shonen ending?

It's already established that their greatest power comes from chaining soul resonance which is effectively the same thing as the power of frienRABhip. Maka is awesome and all but she probably won't defeat Asura single-handedly.

shinigami used Brew to make death city move. I thought he would just use it so he could leave death city!

Episode 47 was the last big group battle, looks like with the demon tool Shibusen had the upper hand...but there's still one more remaining battle - we get to see Shinigami fight seriously! The scene with Black Star was really cool, he seemed like he's gotten a lot cooler the last few episodes. The huge sword was sweet. I wonder was that really the Demon God that he swallowed? It seemed too easy.
