Hello all, I am posting here to see if anyone has any info that might help me before I resort to calling my Dr. I have had a pain/sore bump on my right buttock. Its above the top of my butt crack and to the right of center 6 - 8 inches. The spot does not feel like a muscle soreness....more it feels sore to the touch however if I try to massage it it feels as though its in the muscle. I can actually feel a harder spot on or near the muscle.
Now I've read what I could, and suspect it may be a trigger point knot? However, I don't have muscle soreness when walking for example, I can feel it, but mostly I feel it when pressure is applied to the area.
I'm 34, weigh 200 lbs, I am active lifting weights 3 times a week and jogging 30-40 minutes 2 or 3 times a week on off days. Though I've never had anything like this happen before. Any consideration you can give my problem is appreciated.
