I have developed a sore throat that is unlike anything I have ever experienced. It is a tight feeling along the front of my throat below the adam's apple. I have a slight soreness to the touch on my left side. My physician checked and all lymph nodes are normal. He is calling it muscle strain for now but told me to take ibuprofen. One thing I have noticed is it is very hard for me to complete a yawn with the tightness deep in the throat. Also I wasn't able to sneeze although I felt one coming on. Has anyone experienced this? One thought I had was tree pollen has been very bad lately, but on the other hand I work out frequently and also sit at a desk most of the day. I also have a fair amount of stress like most people. Does this sound like a pulled muscle in my throat?
