I have a case of lordosis and I think that it is hampering my running but I am not sure. When I run I can go for about 5-10 minutes before my lower back on the left hand side begins to ache. The pain is in the top part of my buttock and very lower back. The pain reserables crap however cramp doesn't happen. If i ignore the pain and carry on I start to lose function in my leg and can't really move very well. I am an athlete and want to run but this pain doesn't let me run as often as I would like. Please help, I need help!!!

Welcome to the board. I would suggest you find some type of health professional who can evaluate your body alignment. Something as simple as a pronation can throw off the alignment of the spine, which can lead to some of the issues you mention.

You might have one leg that is slightly shorter, or a rotation in the pelvis...something like that.

Something as simple as a pair of custom orthotics can take care of some of these issues.

The feet are the foundation for structural alignment. If this makes sense to you, see if you can find someone who can check you out, physical therapist, or bodywork person.

thankyou so much for that. i have booked in to see a spine specialist tomorrow
