Soon to be an Army Wife!!! Need ur help please!!?

Me and my boyfriend are getting married on the 28th so I will be able to Germany with him in a few months. However I need to know what the army will need so that we can get the process going! Do i need a certified marriage license or a certified marriage certificate??? when do I get the certified marriage license? please help im worried I wont beable to go with him
 
You need to get yourself enrolled in DEERS. Its a big database for all military branches. You need to bring a copy of your Marriage Certificate and bring a copy of you Birth Certificate just encase. From there you will get a Dependent ID card. This allows you to get on all military bases and to use facilities like the Commissary, PX, and any MWR (Morale, Welfare, and Recreation) facilities. You have to get a physical done for the Army as well. This is so the Army knows that you will be fit to travel overseas. Also, you will have to wait for orders to send you overseas. These can take awhile because your husband has to get the paperwork started for you to come over. So nag him and tell him he needs to Nag his chain of command to get you there. So hope you enjoy Germany. I was there for 2 years and loved it.
