Sony Xperia X10

I recently found a deal for a Sony XPERIA X10 for $200 online. First of all, is this much of a deal at all?

I do have an itch to upgrade from my current Nokia Xpressmusic 5530. I am a little sick of the "dying" Symbian OS and would like much more customization from the iOS or Andriod OS phones. I basically want to upgrade to be able to get some popular games, such as Words with Friends or Tiny Wings, to play with friends. I also use WiFi and the music player a lot on my current Nokia. Would the X10 be a good fit for my uses?

Also, does the upgrade from Android 1.6 to 2.1 cost money?

Upgrade to Android 2.1 is free. You need to install the PC sync software.

For $200 bucks I can't see how this is a bad deal.

Ok, thanks for the answer. However, the price went back up to $228 for me so I'm not completely sure about my choice now.

I've been looking around and have found some iPhone 3GS 16GB phones for around $200 too. If I manage to find out around this price, would it be a good deal and would it outperform the Xperia X10?

The Xperia X10 has a bigger screen, which also looks better, got more processing RAM and the processor is quite faster.

Still that iPhone 3GS is a huge jump from that Nokia you got.

Yea, I am kind of in a stymie. I love the apps iOS has and am pretty familiar with the iOS interface because of my friend's and mom's iPhones. The Andriod OS does entice me because of how open it is for modding; plus, I can still root the X10 to run 2.2 if I dare later on.

That's some deal you got there for the iPhone. Don't get me wrong, X10 is great and I used to own one before then I sold it to get an iPhone 4 from timtechs, anyway as I mentioned it's a great phone but the iPhone for 200 bucks would be a better deal
