I have been using Sony Vegas 8 for a while now without problems. However, now that I need it for a school project, it will not work (malfunctions always seem to happen at the most inconvenient times). I had most of my project video done and a small screen popped up that said "An error occurred. An exception has occurred." Or something along those lines. I looked at forums for help and tried all of the suggested solutions; none of them worked. I then uninstalled Sony Vegas 8 and downloaded the free trial of Vegas 10. This one tells me an error has occurred while downloading it. So,I have two questions:
1. Can someone tell me how to successfully download the trial?
OR
2. Is there a way to convert .veg files to .avi or .wmv without having Vegas available?
If I can convert my half-done video, I can just finish editing and creating it with Movie Maker. Or is there no way to convert without using Vegas and I just need to start the project over?
