I recently installeded Sony Vegas version 9 and I've tried opening some avi files using the programme but only the audio comes up. I've installed all the codecs I think I should need and it's still not showing up. I did some researching and I found something saying to look in your device manager to see if you have the correct codecs installed. It says to go to "Sound, Video and Game controllers" and open the video codecs option. However, when I look in the "Sound, Video and Game controllers" menu in my computer there is no video codecs option. Here is a screenshot:

If anyone could help me to sort out the no video in Sony Vegas problem I would be highly appreciative. I think the problem in the "Sound, Video and Game controllers" might be the culprit. So if you could help with that then it might solve my original problem too. Any help at all!

(PS I can watch videos perfectly fine with Windows Media Player, the only problem is the video not showing up within Sony Vegas 9)
