Sony Vegas 9 AVCHD problem?

I have Sony Vegas 9 pro and I have a Canon Vixia HG20 and video at 1920x1080 (1080i) 60i 24mb/s and when I put it into Sony Vegas the brightness keeps "flashing" and what happens is that it will make my video dim and then make the brighness normal for a frame then put it back and it annoys me alot and it works fine on my tv though my camera
