Sony Vegas 7 rendering problems?

I made this video for a friend, it's about 6 minutes long, and it's filled to the brim with effects and transitions. I couldn't render it on my laptop, which is my main rendering computer, so I transferred it over to my desktop. Problem is, my desktop can't render it, no matter what settings I use. I tried to render it as an MP4, with default settings, but it stopped around 50%. Usually it comes up with various error messages.

Here is one. It says "An error occurred during the current operation. An exception has occured."

This usually comes up, along with other things. It also sometimes tells me I have insufficient memory. I've played around with the preferences, like Dynamic Ram and such, but nothing has worked. I really need this video rendered for my friend, because he wanted it two days ago, but I just can't. I've even tried rendering it in portions, but it came up with the exception error.
