Sony Re-Releasing The James Bond DVDs

Interesting to see that Sony have re-submitted quite alot of the James Bond films to the BBFC again to be rerated and most likely rereleased.

'Tomorrow Never Dies' and 'GoldenEye' are being released on "Ultimate Editions" and are now both rated 15, with all their previous cuts waived and lots of extras. A View To A Kill and others have also been resubmitted and will probably get 15's too judging by bthe extras they are getting.

Didn't bother splashing out on them when MGM released them, but if this is the way that Sony are treating their newly purchased back catelogue, then I'm all for it!

Lets just hope they give some other films they have purchased the rights to the same treatment!

I wanted to by the old boxset, i looked at hmv and virgin and it was discontinued. Then a few days later a new "Suitcase" edition was released on the websites at nearly
 
This news is weeks old,and further down there's a thread.
The entire series are being re-released as Ultimate Edition 2 disc sets with all the old extras plus loaRAB more,and apart from the first 3,all will be in DTS 5.1 sound,and all have been restored and remastered.
The boxset for this lot is about
 
Good grief, I still have the VHS set, and the DVD box set and of course for some perverse reason I will feel obliged to buy the Sony releases..what a mug.
