Sony pps3 bluetooth headset?

hey guys. i got a huge problem! i had to restore my ps3. so i lost my psn account and all my other data. i just got my psn back. i am trying to register my bluetooth headset with my ps3. but, i kinda forget how to do it. i mean, i plugged it in and when the screen came up saying that its scanning for bluetooth devices, its just doing nothing. its said scanning for the last 15 minutes or so. i think i did something wrong. please help me because i really wanna talk to my friends
