Okay, so i bought a Playstation 2 with a "God Of War 2" around a couple of years back. The game is genuine one with the blue box and booklet. As of lately, the game's in-game movies are playing slowly. You know, getting stuck. Like, half a second of the movie plays, then pauses for almost 5 minutes with a really irritating repetition sound coming. After 5 minutes or so, again half or a full second plays, and the whole process starts all over again. The first movie, (God Of War 2 players will know about this), when he kills the colossus and Zeus drives his Blade of Olympus through Kratos, I waited for a goddamn hour before it went to the part when he talks with Gaia.
So, here's the question, will Sony provide a new replacement disk of the same game for free, or even a little fee, or should i buy a new disk all over again?
I live in Bangalore, India, and an original game costs Rs.999. That's around USD $20. It's a lot of cash for me and so I thought of asking y'all this question. This game is a PAL version.
I also noticed that the disk has some scratches. Okay, a lot of scratches. So its not the console lens problem. All other games work fine. But that's obviously because they don't have lot of scratches.
Please help. I simply love that game.
