Sony HDR - SR12 Infrared photography?

I use a Sony F717 and F828 Digital camera with the NightShot feature and with the use of my Infrared R72 filter I can take infrared pictures in daytime. I heard Sony got rid of this but on the new SR12 Videocamera it has NightShot so can I still use an IR filter on the lens and get my pictures in daylight?
