sony ericsson z500a data cable

hi...........i just bought a data cable from ebay............i installed the s/w and connected my cell phone...........initially it shows my cell phone is connected........but as soon as i clik on phone memory..........it says an error has occured.......unable to connect. pls. help me out........thankz
 
hmm, you should try to reinstall the software and try using a different usb port, i had similar problems but found this seemed to fix it
