Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 does not turn on?

Hi guys, i have a xperia x10, i used it fro about 2 months until it stopped working. I would try turn it on and the LED light would flash red and nothing would happen. i took it to Sony and they said it was beyond economical repair, i still believe they didnt want to repair it, does anyone have any idea what do i do? or what the problem could be? also it doesnt charge either
