No doubt the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 was one of the greatest handsets that Sony had introduced but due to the fact that HTC had beat Sony Ericsson and its Xperia X10 by launching their HTC Desire, Sony Ericsson is now lagging in sales on their Xperia X10.
It's true that HTC Desire beats out the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 with it's amazing specs such as Android 2.1 OS while the Xperia X10 only had to offer Android 1.6 at launch and HTC Desire had a better HTC Sense UI.
With this all said and done, HTC has such a big demand for its Desire and can barely keep up with the demands which is putting Sony Ericsson's Xperia X10 to shame. This is upsetting Sony Ericsson to a point that they are going to do something about it. David Hilton, the marketing Director for SE UK and Ireland had this to say:
"There will be a software update for the X10 in the next couple of weeks, which is optimising the software so the phone works faster. The X10 will be faster than the Desire in most if not all functions of the phone.
