Hey everyone,
I need some advice/help with my phone.
It's been like this for quite a while but I haven't had the money or time to get it looked at or repaired or anything.
I bought an import phone the k850c, not k850i off of craigslist a while ago.
When I bought it, it worked just fine with no issues what so ever.
It was unlocked and debranded and worked like a charm.
One day, I was in my room, with the phone plugged in and just playing with the camera and menu options and such and all of a sudden the phone had turned off.
I went to unplug it, and turned it back on, the keypad lit up, the phone vibrated for a second, then the keypad turned off and that's all it did.
No screen booting, no start up music, nothing.
I let it sit for a while, tried it again and still nothing happened.
This happened about 3 weeks after I had bought it.
I let it sit, without the battery for a couple days and tried again and it did the same thing. I went to the sony ericsson website and talked to a representative there and he could not help me.
I currently do not have the pc cable for me, but he did suggest I get the phone reset tool and find a cable for it and reset it.
There is also this store in a mall near me called 'Phone 11' where they specialize in unlocking phones aswell as dealing/repairing import phones and accessories. I talked to the guy there and explained the problem, I'm guessing that the phones firmware may have crashed and is preventing it from booting. And he told me if that's the case it will be around $40 to fix it.
Has anyone else ever had this problem?
