Sony ericsson C903 speaker doesn't work?

Hi, i just bought a SE C903 a couple of months ago and its been working fine till recently. The speaker seems to not produce any sound at all, even though my volume is set to the maximum. Though, the sound did come back a few hours after that when my alarm rang. After that it was working fine for a few days. But then, it happened again. I couldnt hear music on the speaker, when people call my phone there was no ringtone, and i couldnt hear my alarms ringing. I tried to update my phone using the SE update service but it didnt solve the problem. Does anyone know why this is happening? How do i solve this? Did i do anything wrong? Oh, and lately my phone had some battery life issues. i had to recharge it twice everyday. dont know why either. Can anyone help me here? Is the problem connected to my battery life problem?
