Sony Ericcson's Media Manager v1.2 won't recognize my phone?

I downloaded it and followed the directions. When it didn't recognize my w580i phone in file transfer mode, I tried phone mode, but still the program won't recognize my phone.

Can't find anything online and the website is complete bull.
