I have just bought a PRS-600 from a Sydney Electronics dealer, not Sony. Problem-after demonstrating how to use the stylus intro it mentioned a "target". No target appeared on my screen. I went to the next screen and the message read "Calibration error detected.Please restart calibration process" No idea what this meant so phoned Sony Main Office Brisbane. Marcus told me that the PRS-600 was an US model and I could not claim a warranty on it. They now sell MRS-650s only. Furious, I contacted the electronics dealer and he told me that he would refund me the money, but as far as he knew I could still claim the warranty in Australia, but not through Sony. Through his own warranty company. I wonder if you are as confused as I am. Please help?
