To work on Gran Turismo 5

They decided to completely dump Gran Turismo HD and just focus on GT5.

GT:HD was going to be pay to play content, guess they saw the feedback from the fans.

THANK YOU!!! this was a lost cause to begin with. the GT3/4 concept titles were pretty worthless also. never bothered with those. the new screens looked pretty fucking sweet, but it's just too bad so much time was wasted with the HD project.

Wasn't the whole game goign to cost something in the neighborhood of $700 if you bought all the tracks and cars. Another thing that would of pissed me off about that game was if I have to buy the cars and tracks with my own money, I would be bitter if I had to earn them with special drivers lisences and completing other races first.

So is GT5 suppossed to come out?

As for the online racing that was being promised for Gran Turismo HD, Yamauchi says that this will be included in the final Gran Turismo 5 product. Many of the other elements that were planned for GT HD will also make it into GT5, according to Yamauchi. A release date for this true next generation Gran Turismo has yet to be finalized.

After the screenshots of the game, this isnt a "Big Shock" to me.

More turmoil for the ps3. All the bad press and bad reviews steered me clear of this system, even tho im the type of guy that has to have all the systems, just so i dont miss an exclusive here or there.

Go figure, but the 360 and Wii are doing just fine right now for me. Maybe in a year or so when the ps3 library is rocking and the price has dropped, all the bugs are worked out, and they license "rumble" again and release a "Trio-Shock" controller that has rumble and tilt.

I just hear the SixAxis is more like "SuxAsses". Big turn off, no rumble. Sorry to rant.

They should of just made a GT from the ground up in the first place.
